    Project Liberty Institute is the steward of the Decentralized Social Networking Protocol (DSNP) which is available as a public utility to serve as the bedrock of a more equitable web and support a new era of innovation that empowers people over platforms and serves the common good.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    Project Liberty Institute is seeking a highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented Program Associate to provide support to the Research & Insights department. As the Program Associate, you will play a critical role in maximizing the impact of an organization working to change society for the betterment of all. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our Research & Insights team by managing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, facilitating communication and assisting with special projects. Additionally, the Program Associate will support programmatic functions by managing project deliverables, tracking progress, and assisting in program implementation.

    Programmatic Support

    • Assist with development, execution, and monitoring of program activities, including data collection and reporting.
    • Track and document progress of program deliverables to ensure timely completion.
    • Assist in the coordination of program-related events, including handling logistics and participant communications.
    • Assist in preparing program-related reports and other documentation as needed.
    • Assist with preparation for recurring ecosystem, advisory board, and partnership meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Serve as a point of contact for program-related inquiries and communications.
    • Provide comprehensive, sophisticated and timely administrative support.
    • Manage a complex calendar; demonstrate exceptional judgment in prioritization of meetings, calls, and access to senior leaders.
    • Manage all travel arrangements, both domestic and international, and manage potential disruptions while anticipating fluid travel schedules.
    • Manage expenses, including tracking, reconciling, and reporting.
    • Research cost efficiencies as it relates to all travel matters for the organization.
    • Organize and facilitate recurring ecosystem, advisory board, and partnership meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Support budget management for grants and institutional partnerships, program investments, and track expenses in collaboration with university partners
    • Liaise with community and ecosystem partners and maintain strong internal and external communication channels

    Core Competencies and Qualifications

    • Passionate about our cause and excited to work through, in partnership with our academic network.
    • 3+ years of administrative and programmatic support for executives, ideally in the government policy, higher education, or technology sectors.
    • Demonstrable experience prioritizing projects, quick decision making and change management abilities.
    • Experience supporting the implementation of programs and managing program timelines and deliverables.
    • Strong technical proficiency in Google Apps suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides), plus Microsoft Excel, and one or more CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot.
    • Be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and working under pressure
    • Strong written communication skills and demonstrable abilities with internal communication development
    • Advanced skills for efficient invoice/ expense processing and travel-related matters
    • Ability to work with team members to create continuity across businesses and departments
    • Be highly proactive and collaborative, with strong organizational skills.

    Compensation:

    The expected salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 annually. The actual salary offer will be determined on factors including the qualifications, experience, skills, and abilities of the applicant. This role is also eligible for an incentive bonus.
