    Description

    Assistant Director of Clinical Services The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NYSPCC) seeks a motivated, devoted professional with strong clinical skills to serve as the Assistant Director of Clinical Services. The position requires a Sunday through Thursday schedule with two evenings during the week. This is a hybrid position. The Assistant Director of Clinical Services will play an important role in supporting the agency’s mission of effectively responding to the complex needs of abused and neglected children, and those involved in their care. Responsibilities:

    • Serve as on-site manager on Sundays and two evenings a week
    • Provide individual and group supervision to trauma therapists
    • Provide trauma-focused therapeutic services to parents and children impacted by domestic violence in our Therapeutic Supervised Visitation program
    • Provide trauma-focused individual therapy to children ages 5-21 in our Trauma Recovery program
    • Facilitate crisis debriefings throughout the five boroughs with child welfare staff after critical incidents and fatalities
    • Provide workshops and trainings to children, parents, and professionals

    Qualifications:

    • LCSW and New York State licensure required
    • A minimum of five years of experience working with high-conflict families with histories of trauma and an understanding of the complexities of domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, mental health and substance abuse issues preferred
    • A minimum of two years of clinical supervisory experience preferred
    • Familiarity implementing evidence-based practices preferred
    • SIFI certification preferred
    • Fluency in Spanish preferred

    Salary: $105,000This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office (NYC) and remote workdays.
