    Salary: $24.71 per hour

The Family Ministry Coordinator will work with and assist the Director of Family Ministry in implementing programs and events for children and their families at University Unitarian Church. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and enjoys working with children and their parents. Ideally this is someone who is a self-motivated leader, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills, who can work with a wide variety of personalities and individual learning styles. Additionally, we are looking for someone with an ability to work with diverse populations, cultivate a sense of cultural humility, and communicate with people from many cultures, backgrounds, and historically marginalized groups.

Familiarity with Unitarian Universalist values and traditions is not required, but it is very helpful, and candidates should be willing to learn and teach these things with children and their families.

The Family Ministry Coordinator may have opportunities to meet with and learn from local religious education colleagues, through the Liberal Religious Educators Association.

    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with strong emphasis on conveying information and notifications to families through all media (including digital), as well as listening and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft and Google Suites. Ability to learn and manage the member database.
    • Clear understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and an ability to maintain confidentiality around sensitive issues and information.
