Job Description
The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press seeks a Senior Manager of Development to support the fundraising and donor relations needs of a growing and vibrant nonprofit organization. The position will report to the Vice President of Development and support the organization’s fundraising and donor relations needs with a focus on internal workflows, processes, and development operations.
The Reporters Committee has significantly expanded in the past five years and maintains a growing portfolio of program-specific and general support funding relationships in the institutional philanthropy field. As the organization and its donor relations needs continue to grow, the Senior Manager of Development will oversee the internal development operations and support the Vice President and the Executive team in their engagement with funders and external stakeholders.
This position is well suited for a highly organized person with an excellent understanding of development operations, great writing and editing skills, and the ability to effectively communicate the Reporters Committee’s mission and vision. Knowledge of Salesforce and/or other development databases is highly desired. The Reporters Committee will support candidates with formal training opportunities to develop skills in relevant fields such as grant proposal writing, monitoring and evaluation, and grant reporting.
