    Description

    Lakeside School, an independent, coeducational day school of 876 students in grades 5-12 in North Seattle, is actively recruiting a Program Manager for Campus Visit Experience. This is an in-person, full-time, school-year, non-exempt position beginning as soon as possible and reports to the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid.

    About the Position

    The Program Manager for Campus Visit Experience is an essential member of the admissions and financial aid team and is responsible for prospective students and families having a positive visit experience during the application process. The Program Manager for Campus Visit Experience directly builds and manages the Upper School Tour Program, Upper School Interviewer Program, and Upper School Admitted Student and Family Visit Day and Reception.

    About the Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

    Upper School Tour Program:

    • Successfully manage the Upper School Tour Program, including annually updating the tour script, building and maintaining relationships with faculty and staff to support the tour program, attending school events and divisional meetings to inform authentic storytelling, building a data-informed annual tour schedule, and monitoring online tour registration and regularly connecting with applicant families to ensure application completion
    • Successfully manage the Upper School Student Ambassador Program by annually recruiting and training Upper School student ambassadors to support the admission and financial aid office and Upper School application experience as tour guides, contribute to the monthly admissions and financial aid newsletter, and participate in prospective and admitted student and family admission events.

    Upper School Interview Program

    • Successfully manage the Upper School Interview Program by building the online and in-person interview schedules for all interviewers, co-leading annual Upper School interviewer training, proactively working with prospective students and families to schedule their interviews once the application is submitted, and providing support as necessary
    • Taking the lead in designing and launching an alum interview program

    Upper School Admitted Student Visit Day

    • Successfully manage Upper School Admitted Student Visit Day by planning a student-centered visit day program and schedule that shows the best and most authentic Lakeside so students are well-informed about the promise of the Upper School, and proactively working with faculty and staff so the appropriate people are involved in the visit day

    Upper School Admitted Student and Family Reception

    • Successfully plan the Upper School Admitted Student and Family Reception to celebrate and welcome newly-admitted families and show the best and most authentic Lakeside so families are well-informed about the offerings in the Upper School

    General Admission and Financial Aid Team Duties and Responsibilities

    • Welcome visitors and families upon arrival to the admission and financial aid office
    • Help respond to phone and email messages
    • Contribute 1-2 short articles to the monthly admission and financial aid newsletter
    • Participate in all admissions and financial aid events
    • Compile and share information with the student support team about newly-enrolled students
    • Participate as a member of the Puget Sound Independent School (PSIS) committee or task force as appropriate
    • Contributing to the process of completing application files by maintaining accurate applicants’ status in Ravenna as families schedule and admission tours and interviews
    • Maintain industry knowledge by participating in school, consortium, association professional development opportunities
    • Participate in life at Lakeside beyond the admissions and financial aid department

    Desired Qualifications

    1. A bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, business, or communications is preferred
    2. Two to four years of experience in a similar position is preferred, ideally in education though backgrounds in corporate or nonprofit will be acceptable
    3. Computer (PC/Windows) proficiency is required, including all Microsoft Office programs and Google applications
    4. The ability to stand and sit for long periods, walk up and down stairs, lift approximately 20 pounds, and regularly walk between the Middle and Upper School campuses, a distance of 0.3 miles that includes a gentle hill
    5. Demonstrated cultural awareness, including knowledge of themselves and the cultural lenses they bring to interactions. The candidate will understand different perspectives; interact respectfully with cultures other than their own; and cultivate meaningful relationships with people that have different cultural frameworks
    6. Candidates must satisfactorily complete three criminal history background checks

    Lakeside’s eight-person admissions and financial aid team comprises individuals committed to Lakeside and the work of strategic enrollment.     Salary and Benefits

    Salary Range:$60,000 - $65,000
