    Description

    Organization Mission: Serving low-income individuals and families in the Shively area of Louisville, KY, by providing food, rental assistance, utility bill support, emergency assistance, and financial education classes.

    The Director of Operations will efficiently deliver programs and services to the Shively community, ensuring that food assistance, rental/mortgage assistance, utility support, and financial education programs are accessible and impactful. This leadership role requires strategic planning, operational expertise, and a strong commitment to improving the lives of low-income residents.

    Manage daily program operations to ensure smooth service delivery and responsiveness to the client's needs. Managing day-to-day processing of program accounts

    Program Oversight

    Oversee food distribution, rental assistance, utility payment support, and financial education initiatives, ensuring program goals are met. Monitor service delivery metrics and community impact, making data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes.

    Financial and Resource Management

    Collaborate with the Executive Director on budgeting and resource allocation to ensure financial sustainability. Oversee Food Center staff to ensure procurement, inventory, and resource distribution for food assistance and other programs. Maintain accurate records and reports for funding agencies, stakeholders, and auditors.

    Job Requirements

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in nonprofit operations, social services, or nonprofit management. Familiarity with the challenges and needs of low-income communities

    Skills and Competencies

    Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with Proven experience managing community-focused programs and operational budgets. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in program evaluation and data-driven decision-making. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
