    Description

    Position: English Academy Program Coordinator

    Time commitment: 8 hours/week

    Compensation: $150/month

    Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language or a related field.
    • Experience
      • Minimum 3 years of experience teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language.
      • At least 2 years of experience coordinating English programs, including academic and administrative tasks.
    • Soft skills
      • Leadership and team collaboration.
      • Proactive problem-solving with a “can-do” attitude.
      • Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
      • Strong social and communication skills.
      • Initiative and ability to work independently.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Coordinate all processes, resources, and activities to ensure the success of the English Academy Program.
    • Oversee the recruitment and selection process of students, ensuring fairness and transparency.
    • Lead the selection of textbooks and materials that align with program objectives.
    • Manage the hiring of program staff and teachers (if any).
    • Prepare and submit quarterly financial and progress reports in a timely manner.
    • Organize program events, including opening and closing ceremonies.
    • Conduct regular classroom visits to ensure effective program administration.
    • Evaluate the English Academy’s curriculum and teaching methods, offering recommendations for improvements.
    • Provide guidance and solutions to teachers regarding program enhancements.
    • Communicate promptly with Escuela Adelante regarding any sudden changes, emergencies, or interruptions to the program.
    • Plan, organize, and execute offsite activities as applicable.
    • Administer and organize student evaluations, including initial and exit exams, to track student progress.
    • Develop and implement a detailed course syllabus, outlining class topics and student expectations.
    • Facilitate and coordinate teacher training opportunities for continuous professional development.
    • Collaborate on promotional efforts to raise awareness about the English Academy Program.
    • Collect and process student and teacher records, including grade sheets, attendance, progress reports, and evaluations.
    • Monitor student attendance and academic performance regularly, ensuring timely interventions if necessary.
    • Track and manage the program’s budget, reporting expenditures according to the work plan.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as arranging appointments, receiving visitors, and responding to routine inquiries via phone and email.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the institution's leadership to support the overall success of the program.
