    Description

    Organizer – Multiplier Project

    Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

    Type: Part-time or Full-time (contract or staff)

    Reports to: Project Director, Multiplier Project

    Compensation: $4000-5000 per month.

    Start Date: ASAP (target May 1)

    About the Role

    Activate America is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Organizer to support the expansion of the Multiplier Project—a bold new initiative to build grassroots organizing power in key battleground House districts ahead of the 2026 election.

    The Organizer will work directly with the Project Director to identify and engage local partners, support district-level planning, and ensure smooth coordination across timelines, events, and trainings. This role is ideal for someone with strong campaign or issue-based organizing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, remote team environment and wants to build real political power.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Congressional District Outreach & Research
      • Research and map local groups, leaders, and coalitions in targeted congressional districts
      • Conduct outreach and introductory calls to potential partners
      • Track relationships and follow-up steps using project tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRMs)
    • Planning & Scheduling
      • Coordinate 1:1s, strategy calls, and trainings with partners and internal team members
      • Create and maintain project timelines and calendars across multiple districts
      • Support logistics for virtual and in-person trainings or meetings
    • Program Support
      • Track and log key events, actions, and local developments in priority districts
      • Draft outreach emails, briefing notes, and call agendas as needed
      • Support the creation and sharing of organizing toolkits and resources

    Qualifications

    • 2–3 years of experience in grassroots political campaigns, union or community organizing, or issue-based advocacy
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent relationship-building skills, especially via phone, Zoom, and email.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Experience using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides Calendar), Zoom, and basic project tracking tools
    • Fluent with social media platforms
    • Self-starter who can work independently in a remote team
    • Passionate about progressive politics and building long-term people power
    • Ability to do overnight travel to priority districts from time to time (10-20%)
    • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Live near or in one of our priority Districts AZ, CA,CO, IA, MI, NE, PA, NY, NJ (see Cook Ratings report)
    • Experience building or supporting an organizing committee in a union, student movement, or grassroots campaign
    • Experience working with Mobilize, Every Action, VAN, and other platforms for outreach
    • Previous work with Activate America coalition partners, local advocacy groups (eg. Indivisible, Swing Left) or independent expenditure campaigns
    • Design skills (eg. Canva, Adobe, Photoshop, etc…)
