The Emergency Grant Intern works closely with single-parents enrolled in postsecondary schools who are experiencing an unexpected financial emergency that might be a barrier to continuing their education. We differentiate an emergency from a crisis, the latter for which a $1k or less grant will likely not stabilize the family.
