    Description

    Summary

Art in Tanzania is developing youth football, assisting in the talent development of Football Academies jointly with its partners.

    Details

Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. We receive about 250 participants in our community placements annually.

Football is the national sport in Tanzania. There is enormous potential for young, talented girls and boys. However, due to low economic and coaching capacities, it is hard to produce professional football players.

This program is a joint effort with our partners, Briessfull Stars Organization of retired top Tanzanian football professionals and 7Elity Academy from Utah, USA, having branches in the UK and South Africa and connected to top world football clubs.

We look for interns and volunteers to join and assist in coaching, ball, and physical training activities. Also, to advocate for young players about good nutrition, hygiene, and other public health issues.

Participants also assist in the village and school sports activities.

We use our social media pages for advocacy work, and our Facebook pages have more than 50K followers.

Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

The program is ongoing, so the start dates are adjustable. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities.

Daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility work.

The start and end dates are flexible as all programs are ongoing, many since 1996.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable safaris and tours.

We commonly have 15-40 students from different parts of the world, from over 400 universities we cooperate with, and representing a variety of professions.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

Accommodation and meals are personal expenses. For 1-13 weeks, EUR 175 per week covers accommodation with breakfast and dinner, the student compound facilities, and professional tutoring. From week 14 onwards, the cost is EUR 125 per week.

Airport transfer is EUR 60 one way, which is a personal expense.

A charity visa for immigration, which costs USD 50, is a personal expense. A multiple-entry visa for less than 12 months is USD 250.

We pay interns a USD 50 monthly stipend, which is small but 2x Tanzania's national minimum wage.

    Flights are a personal expense.

Local transport, if any, is a personal expense.
