    MKDM is an omnichannel fundraising agency that works exclusively with nonprofits to engage donors, motivate action, and inspire philanthropy for progressive causes. We are seeking an individual with 2-4 years direct response fundraising experience or relevant marketing experience to join our team immediately as an Account Manager. This position open to candidates in the United States and is remote-optional.

    Responsibilities/Experience Expectations

    • 2-4 years’ experience in direct response fundraising management or relevant marketing field: direct mail and digital plan and strategy development, multi-year program growth modeling, benchmark analysis, campaign strategy, messaging and copy development, capacity to develop and convey informed direct response fundraising counsel to clients
    • Attending industry events, vendor and client networking, seeking industry association involvement opportunities such as volunteering, serving on committees, serving on a Board, and speaking at events
    • Active monitoring and ongoing exploration of industry trends
    • Continued experience-building in advanced direct response management to advance to Associate Director level

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    With oversight from senior account partner(s)…

    • Managing assigned direct response programs or defined portions of programs
    • Acting as the primary contact for assigned clients, managing weekly client meetings, and assuring delivery and quality of MKDM services as defined in client scope of work
    • Monitoring and analyzing client program results and budgets against annual plan, participating in program strategy development, and drafting client program plans
    • Preparing reports and presentations for clients
    • Analyzing client direct marketing KPIs, drafting segment, list targeting, ask, and personalization strategies, and overseeing database targeting and file pulls for campaigns
    • Developing original targeting and messaging strategies for client direct response programs
    • Copywriting for direct mail, email, and web campaigns
    • Collaborating with MKDM's graphic design staff to translate copy and messaging into print/send/publish-ready product
    • Collaborating with MKDM’s production staff to oversee implementation of direct response projects
