Marketing and Community Liasion

Community Dental Health’s mission is to provide a Dental Home for all low income, uninsured and under-insured persons needing assistance to obtain low cost or free dental services. We believe oral health care is important to overall health care for sound body, mind and spirit.

Overview:

The Marketing and Community Liaison will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships between Community Dental Health and its surrounding community, including customers, organizations, local governments, and other stakeholders. The role will involve developing marketing strategies and community outreach initiatives that align with the company’s objectives and foster positive brand recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Responsibilities:

• Develop Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with the Executive Director to create marketing campaigns targeting local community engagement and increasing brand awareness.
• Content Creation: Develop content for both online and offline marketing channels, including social media, websites, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Brand Awareness: Work to enhance the company’s presence within the local community by using both traditional and digital marketing techniques.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to understand community needs, preferences, and the competitive landscape to develop effective marketing strategies.
• Social Media Management: Oversee social media channels, ensuring content is consistent with the company’s brand voice while engaging the local community.

Community Liaison Responsibilities:

• Relationship Building: Build and maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders, including residents, businesses, local government officials, and community organizations.
• Engagement and Outreach: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and the community, ensuring two-way communication.
• Community Events & Initiatives: Organize community events and programs that align with the company’s social responsibility goals and foster goodwill.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at local events and meetings to strengthen the brand’s reputation and create opportunities for collaboration.
• Monitor Community Feedback: Collect feedback and insights from the community to understand concerns, improve programs, and foster strong relationships.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in marketing, community relations, or a similar role.
  • Previous experience in event planning or working within the community sector is highly valued.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and marketing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Creativity and the ability to innovate with marketing and community initiatives.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and social media analytics tools is a plus.
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to travel locally for community events or outreach initiatives.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary for events.
