🐺 About Cavalli’s Husky and Wolfdog Rescue
Cavalli’s is a new PACFA-licensed, 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Colorado, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and responsibly rehoming Huskies and Wolfdogs—two intelligent, independent, and often misunderstood breeds that face very different outcomes than traditional companion animals.
We are not a typical dog rescue. From the breeds we serve to the types of homes we screen for, the needs of these animals require a more specialized approach—one rooted in enrichment, containment, education, and breed-specific care. The same applies to our operations: our donors, fosters, adopters, and community partners will look very different than those of a cat/dog shelter. We're building our infrastructure around that reality.
Cavalli’s is still in its earliest stage—foster-based, grassroots, and currently a one-woman operation. But the vision is clear: a small, ethical, breed-specific rescue doing things the right way, even if that means growing slowly.
💼 About the Treasurer Role
The Treasurer will serve as a core member of the board of directors, helping to guide the financial framework of an organization that operates differently by design.
This is a volunteer position—ideal for someone with financial or nonprofit management experience who believes in building organizations with care and integrity. This is a hands-on, collaborative role best suited for someone who isn’t afraid to help set the structure, not just maintain it.
