The Community Children's Center strengthens the Douglas County early childhood community by providing resources, support, and education for families and early childhood care professionals. We offer a Family Resource Center, an Early Childhood Clothing Closet, Grow & Go playgroups, and the TYKES Online Parent Resource Hub. We are developing two high-quality, Lawrence-based childcare spaces, opening 2024-2025.
Join our team!
We are looking for volunteers to organize donations and design costumes, outfits, and displays for our Early Childhood Clothing Closet. This is an ever-growing initiative that serves hundreds of families each year by distributing free clothes for children 0-6T, diapers and wipes, maternity clothing, and more!
