Canadian Friends of Oaxaca seeks a person with Marketing and Communications experience for its volunteer board.
CANFRO through its five partner agencies in Oaxaca, Mexico, provides funds from Canadian donors to relieve poverty, advance education and improve health and well-being of young people and their families.
Ideal candidates would have a connection to Mexico, either via family, profession or travel, proficiency in Spanish and English is desirable, feel passionate about charitable giving and international aid efforts as a means to interrupt the cycle of impoverishment, and be willing to dedicate several hours per month to help CANFRO expand its reach to Canadians who should be asked to support the promising programs.

The CANFRO Board meets twice a year via Zoom and once in person in Oaxaca - usually February. The new Board member will receive orientation and is expected to Chair the Communcations Commitee which has two volunteers actively keeping Facebook and Website stories up to date. A part time paid CANFRO Coordinator assists with Communication efforts in the City including poster and flyer distribution. Please send a cover letter detailing any experience with Oaxaca or other places in Mexico and your connection to Canada. Please attach a resume listing experience relevant to the volunteer Communication Committee Chair position.
