Spiritual Care/ Eucharistic Volunteers promote healing by addressing the spiritual, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients and their family members. Volunteers help people feel less lonely, experience a sense of community and provide comfort through difficult times. Our volunteers demonstrate respect for every person’s faith, religion and spiritual beliefs.
Hackensack Meridian Hospice serves patients wherever they call home. The commitment is typically 3-4 hours a month within a manageable commute. Volunteers are provided a thorough orientation free of charge. Applicants must provide proof of certification from a faith community or organization. Contact Hospice.Volunteer@HMHN.org for more information.
