Companion Volunteers

Volunteering with Faith Hospice could be the most meaningful thing you ever do. By helping us provide compassion, comfort, and care to those at the end of life, you will be enriching your own life as well. One does not need a special talent or expertise to make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. All that is needed is a kind servant's heart. We have a need for volunteer visitor companions in our Grand Rapids community and at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, our 20 bed hospice home in Byron Center.

Here are a few ways hospice volunteers can make an impact:

• Offering companionship by sitting, playing games, walking, or reading with a patient
• Providing relief for caregivers
• Capturing life memories and legacy creation through scrapbooking, audio recording, or journaling
• *We are also recruiting Veterans who would like to visit other Veterans on hospice care.
