Join the 13th Annual Big Sunday Clothing Drive & Community Breakfast!

This year, we’re especially looking forward to MLK Day on January 20, 2025. January 20 is Inauguration day, and whether you’re delighted or despondent about the election, we think it will be the perfect time to gather together in the name of unity, compassion, community and kindness.

This year, we’re thrilled to bring back our long-standing clothing drive alongside making brand-new clothing kits! We’ll be collecting both new and gently used clothing again to help those in need.

There will be tons of ways for you to help those who need all kinds of clothes:

1. Assemble brand new clothing kits: We’ll be assembling 2,025 winter clothing kits of warm, new clothing.
2. Sort new and gently-used clothing: We’ll be sorting, folding and packing. All sizes, all styles. Footwear, too!
3. Help us collect and sort 2,025 pieces of underwear. All ages, all kinds, all styles.
4. Help our new Passion’s Prom Project. Collecting prom dresses and tuxes for underserved teens.

HERE’S WHAT ELSE WE ARE DOING!

Like always, it will be a big, wonderful block party with lots of ways for people of all ages to help.

In addition to the clothing drive, the day will feature the following:

1. Arts & crafts projects to benefit local nonprofits
2. A school beautification, including colorful new murals
3. Our very popular (and always growing) Civil Rights Exhibit
4. The beloved Big Sunday’s Something in Common Project
5. A special MLK DAY Big Sunday Mosaic Sun
6. Live entertainment from the awesome Blue Breeze Band
7. And of course, a delicious (and large!) community breakfast to enjoy together
