Position Overview:

Volunteer Fundraising and Donor Engagement Director

Cibus Mission is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as the Fundraising and Donor Engagement Director. In this vital volunteer role, you will lead efforts to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure donations from individuals, corporate partners, and foundations. Your work will directly support our mission to provide sustenance and essential services to communities in need, helping us create a lasting impact.

This position requires strategic thinking, leadership, and the ability to cultivate strong, long-term relationships with donors and supporters. If you’re passionate about nonprofit work and ready to make a difference, we’d love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute Fundraising Strategies:
• Create and lead innovative fundraising plans to meet the financial goals of Cibus Mission, including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants.
• Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
• Engage, cultivate, and retain donors by building meaningful relationships through personalized communication, recognition, and regular updates on the impact of their contributions.
• Campaign Coordination:
• Plan and implement fundraising campaigns, donor events, and digital initiatives to raise awareness and drive donations.
• Corporate and Foundation Partnerships:
• Identify and secure sponsorships, grants, and major gifts from businesses and philanthropic organizations.
• Volunteer Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with Cibus Mission volunteers and leadership to align fundraising efforts with our organizational goals.
• Data Management and Reporting:
• Track donor information, monitor fundraising metrics, and provide regular progress updates to the team.

Qualifications:

• Experience or strong interest in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or marketing.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of digital fundraising tools, CRM platforms, and/or event planning is a plus.
• A passion for making a positive difference in the community through Cibus Mission’s programs.
