STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Time commitment: 6 hours a week
Description: We are looking for a meticulous and computer-savvy individual to become a virtual volunteer as a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator in our team. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and upkeeping our LMS platform to ensure that our online educational materials are available, current, and appropriately meet the requirements of our students. Collaborate remotely with educators, trainers, and team members to enhance our online learning options.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and uphold the LMS system, guaranteeing seamless functioning and availability for every user.
• Help with developing and structuring online courses, modules, and educational resources.
• Monitor and address technical problems associated with the LMS, offering assistance to users when required.
• Work together with teachers and instructors to upload and maintain course material, evaluations, and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of user activity, course enrollments, and completion rates.
• Create and assess reports about LMS usage and performance to pinpoint areas that need enhancements.
• Join online meetings to talk about strategies regarding LMS and give updates on system administration tasks.
• Keep updated on the most recent advancements in e-learning technology to improve the LMS user experience.
• Help in creating training materials and resources to assist users in effectively navigating and utilizing the LMS.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a LMS administrator or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful LMS administrator campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Capability to work both individually and as part of a team in an online setting.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Passion for STEM education and commitment to promoting STEM literacy and application.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with a diverse global audience.
