OVERVIEW:
Kicking Cancer Foundation is a group of volunteers committed to raising money for cancer research. Our organization is entirely run by volunteers and 100% of our proceeds from events throughout the year is donated. Since our establishment in 2009 – we have donated over $450,000 to cancer research.
OPPORTUNITY:
Are you looking to make an impact in your local community and nonprofit world? Are you looking to share your skills in creativity, event planning, networking, fundraising? Perhaps you are interested to meet and join like minded indviduals with a passion to address cancer? If you have a few hours a month to volunteer around your schedule - then join us at PKC (Philly Kicking Cancer).
We are looking to add an organized, self motivated and passionate general member of the board to help with all aspects of our foundation - from fundraising and securing sponsors, through logistics and event day support for our events! Most members of the board wear multiple hats on subcommittees working towards the end result of donating as much as possible to cancer research!
Board meetings are in the evenings, one to two meeting(s) a month. Meetings are held online and in-person in the south street area of Philadelphia depending on our events schedule.
The Kicking Cancer Foundation board consists totally of unpaid volunteers.
