Grant Writer (Performance-Based Compensation)

Position Overview:

Delicate Cactus, a non-profit organization committed to empowering communities through emergency response training and youth entrepreneurship programs, is seeking a motivated and skilled Grant Writer to join our team. This role is instrumental in securing funding to support our mission of fostering safety, growth, and economic independence in underserved communities. Compensation for this position will be performance-based, offering competitive incentives tied to the success of grant submissions.

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with Delicate Cactus’s mission and programs.
• Prepare, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government entities.
• Develop and maintain a calendar of grant deadlines, ensuring timely submissions.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data, outcomes, and supporting documentation for proposals.
• Manage follow-ups, including reporting on grant outcomes and maintaining relationships with funders.
• Track and analyze the success rates of grant applications to optimize future submissions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Grant Writer, with a successful track record of securing grants for non-profit organizations.
• Exceptional research, writing, and editing skills.
• Strong understanding of grant processes and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with funding sources for community development, education, and social services programs.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Passion for supporting underserved communities and youth development.

Compensation:

This is a performance-based position, with compensation tied directly to the success of grant awards. Details include:
