Volunteer Opportunity: Farmer's Market Volunteer

Location: Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan

Time Commitment: Flexible, including weekends and weekdays

Timeframe: 5 hours per day or per week

Duration: Ongoing

Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to join our outreach team and help make a positive impact in our community. As a Farmer’s Market Volunteer, you will assist with distributing program flyers within the farmer’s market area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct street outreach by distributing program flyers to local businesses, community-based organizations, health clinics, customers, and community members.
• Promote the Over-The-Counter (OTC) benefits program.
• Support general market operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Passion for healthy eating, local agriculture, and community engagement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a regular volunteer schedule.
• Volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate
