Transcendent Parenting Project is seeking someone who is an accounting professional. This board leader is a professional who can help interpret data, provide recommendations, and create a strategy that aligns with the organization's unique financial position. This board leader has an opportunity to help Transcendent Parenting Project by: 1) reviewing all accounts; 2) maintaining compliance; 3) filing tax forms; 4) preparing for audits; and 5) analyzing the budget.

• attending six regular board member meeting per year (two retreats per year with leadership)
• serving on one or more committees of the board and actively participate in committee work
• playing an active role in securing the financial resources necessary for Transcendent Parenting Project to achieve its mission
• reading board materials in advance of board meetings and arrive prepared to ask questions as well as participate in discussions
• learning to read and understand Transcendent Parenting Project’s financial statements if no prior experience reading financial statements. Another board member will gladly assist your learning
• helping the board to fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities
• directly investing in Transcendent Parenting Project’s work by making a personal, meaningful financial contribution each year
• leveraging personal relationships to help the development committee and staff identify and solicit potential funders
• responsibly represent Transcendent Parenting Project to their respective communities and to advocate for the mission, services, and its programs.
