    The Class Consulting Group is a boutique management consulting firm headquartered in SFO-Bay Area that provides consulting services to senior management and Board of Directors of nonprofit/philanthropic organizations. It also offers community leadership opportunities to professionals. CLASS collaborates with its clients - the Non-Profit Organizations to help them realize their mission and create tangible value. CLASS offers business consulting services in Marketing, Strategy, Human Resources/ Organization, Finance, and IT.

    We are looking for motivated and committed individuals to join our volunteer-driven teams.

    Position Type: Volunteering (All volunteering positions at Class Consulting Group are unpaid)

    Location- Remote

    1. Board Responsibilities:Lead the technology team to determine Class’s business requirements for IT systems and recommend new technology solutions.
    2. Define & develop strategies and guide management to keep technology at the center of business growth and identify opportunities to use it in delivering new capabilities.
    3. Build the team’s capabilities, taking initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity. Manage all IT projects by coordinating resources with team members.
    4. Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, anticipating requirements.
    5. Identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security by implementing disaster recovery backup procedures and information security and control structures.
    6. Conduct system audits of technologies implemented and maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
    7. Oversee departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting.
    8. Help develop organizational infrastructure, processes, and staffing to foster company growth.

    General Responsibilities: 

    1. Responsible for growth and sound governing of the organization.
    2. Ensure fulfillment of the mission of the organization and strongly advocate organizational values.
    3. Oversee organization's budget, evaluate the organization's progress toward strategic goals and ensure sufficient resources.
    4. Act as ambassador for the organization. Promote the organization's image and public standing. Help promote diversity.
    5. Establish an organizational culture that embraces strategic planning and set clearly defined goals to initiate and lead the team evaluation and KPI.
    6. Report to the Board President.

    Requirements:

    1. Education Qualification & ExperienceMaster’s degree in Business/Management from a reputed business school.
    2. 15+ years of experience in the area of expertise [Management, Strategy, Marketing, Nonprofits, Sales, Consulting, Academia, etc.] with 8+ years of prior leadership background. 
    3. Direct experience developing and implementing marketing and branding strategies.
    4. Demonstrated interest/passion in the non-profit/social responsibility sector.
    5. Demonstrated effectiveness in meetings and task forces seen as a leader.
    6. Solid professional reputation.
    7. Skills/AbilitiesComfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and taking initiative.
    8. Visionary orientation. & leadership skills. Desire to play lead role in CLASS's growth strategy.
    9. Strong team-builder and team member.
    10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    11. Self-confident and outgoing personality.
    12. Willing and able to make asks on CLASS's behalf [ambassadors].
    13. Honesty, integrity and respect for others.
    14. CommitmentMinimum commitment of 1term [3 years] for the unpaid / pro-bono position.
    15. Attend Monthly Board meetings.
    16. Attend Weekly Meetings: Virtual [MS Teams]
    17. Time: 10-15 hours per month [excluding meeting time] depending on the need.
