Join the DMV Music Alliance as a Public Relations Specialist and become the voice that amplifies our mission and initiatives. We’re seeking a creative and strategic PR professional to build and maintain our brand’s positive image, engage with the media, and craft compelling stories that resonate with our community and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

• Media Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and promote our initiatives. Be the point of contact for DMVMA, community partners, and audience.
• Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, media kits, and promotional materials that effectively communicate our mission, events, and achievements.
• Campaign Management: Plan and execute PR campaigns that increase our visibility, engage the public, and drive positive media attention.
• Event Promotion: Coordinate and manage public relations aspects of events, including press conferences, launches, and community engagements.
• Analytics: Monitor media coverage and trends, track campaign performance, and provide reports with insights and recommendations.

What You Bring:

• PR Experience: Proven track record in public relations or media relations.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills for compelling content creation.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop and execute effective PR strategies.
• Effective Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills for building media relationships.
• Adaptability: Skill in managing multiple projects and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Location: Must be based in the DMV area or have sufficient knowledge of DMV area media outlets.
