Money Management Program at Mystic Valley Elder Services
The Money Management Program at Mystic Valley Elder Services matches trained and supervised volunteers with older adults and adults with disabilities who need help managing their finances. Money Management volunteers can assist with various tasks including monitoring income and expenses, establishing and maintaining a budget, organizing financial documents, sorting and paying bills, writing checks, balancing a checkbook, reconciling bank statements, managing credit, developing a repayment plan, and other financial tasks.
Time commitment: Volunteers typically spend 2-4 hours a month helping their consumers (aka clients). Volunteers and consumers agree on the dates, times, and frequency of their meetings.

In order to ensure the safety and fulfillment of volunteers and the community, prospective volunteers must complete a full application, agree to a criminal record background check, and be approved by our Volunteer Services department before receiving a volunteer assignment with Mystic Valley Elder Services.
