New Pathways for Youth serves teens who have experienced extreme poverty and at least 3 major childhood traumas such as abuse, neglect, mental illness, substance abuse in the home, and/or family member incarceration. We provide youth with personal life-skills workshops, a caring & supportive community, and a volunteer mentor that will support them in reaching their goals. With the help of our mentors, New Pathways enables youth to reach incredible outcomes and break the cycle of poverty for their families.
63% of the youth we serve are Hispanic/Latino and many of their parents or caregivers are Spanish speaking only. While our Program Coordinators facilitate communication, the families we serve are always grateful when their kids are matched with Spanish-speaking mentors!
We are actively recruiting adults to match with youth in a Level Up Launch! If you are a caring and committed adult and you're curious, please attend one of our weekly Mentor Introduction sessions on Zoom to learn more. You can see all the dates and RSVP here: https://npfy.as.me/Mentor-Intro
