Keep families connected! A volunteer family interaction supervisor monitors visits between children in alternate care and their parent(s) or other family members. The volunteer’s role is to supervise the visit, making sure it is safe and productive. Transporting the child or adult is often part of the visit. Visits are held at a site determined by the social worker and family and may be at the department, in the community or in the home. You will be part of the team as you take notes and share information with the case worker. Visits can take place during the day, evenings, or weekends. The volunteer’s schedule is flexible and determined by the hours they want to work and the assignments they accept from the volunteer coordinator. The visits have a consistent schedule. Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate. You will strengthen our community's ability to assist families in crisis, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
