Overnight hosts arrive to the host site (typically a church) at 9pm and simply sleep overnight. Families experiencing homelessness will each have separate rooms, as will volunteers. Air mattresses are provided. Volunteers should bring blankets, pillows, etc. Volunteers are available in case of a crisis situation, which is rare. In most cases, volunteers simply sleep overnight and ensure families get on the van the next morning on time. Volunteers can sign-up as frequently or infrequently as desired. This is a great opportunity for families to volunteer - it's like a big sleepover!
