We are a NJ-based nonprofit fighting food insecurity and the environmental impact of food waste by recovering and delivering healthy surplus meals to local communities in need. Our volunteers recover meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Join us to help your community and the environment!
Each volunteer role would involve:
- picking up meals from a specified donor cafeteria; and
- delivering these meals to our non-profit community partner in the nearby area
The task will take approximately one hour including travel time between donor and recipient. Pick up and delivery times will be on a week day (not at weekends) and can be anytime from early morning to mid afternoon, depending on the donor. We require volunteers to drive their own car and have a smartphone. We welcome regular participation but will work with your schedule.
