Donation and Fundraising Volunteer

The Peace Economy Project is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Donation and Fundraising Volunteers to assist with raising funds and securing donations before, during, and after the Valentine’s Day Vigil Against Gun Violence. Volunteers in this role will play a vital part in supporting PEP’s mission by encouraging financial contributions and fostering relationships with donors and supporters.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-Event Fundraising Support:
• Reach out to businesses, organizations, and individuals for sponsorships and donations.
• Help develop and distribute fundraising materials, including flyers, letters, and online campaigns.
• Assist with setting up online fundraising platforms and social media appeals.
• Event-Day Fundraising Activities:
• Staff donation tables and encourage attendees to make contributions.
• Distribute pledge cards and assist with processing donations.
• Provide information about PEP’s mission and programs to potential donors.
• Promote ongoing campaigns and ways to stay involved beyond the event.
• Post-Event Follow-Up:
• Help send thank-you notes and acknowledgments to donors and sponsors.
• Assist with tracking donations and preparing reports.
• Support planning for future fundraising activities and campaigns.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for social justice and community advocacy.
• Ability to confidently approach potential donors and share information about PEP’s mission.
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Comfortable handling cash and donation records.
