Education Program Assistant:

This role is perfect for someone who is studying for or is already in a teaching position. It involves directly assisting our Honduran Education Coordinator in planning our weekly classroom activities, curriculum goals, and the scheduling of our international volunteers and Honduran interns. 

The Education Program Assistant will be considered part of the Leadership Team and their input will be welcomed at weekly team meetings. The Education Program Assistant will be considered a role model for other instructors and, in addition to working in the classrooms, will also assist in training and evaluating our teaching team. There is potential to also help develop curriculum, help write grants, and maintain monitoring and evaluation standards. 

The ideal candidate will have some general teaching experience and at least an intermediate ability to speak Spanish. This is a volunteer position and is available to people who can stay for at least 6 months. The Education Program Assistant will receive a 50% reduction in all housing costs and will pay no other HCA fees.
