CASA Volunteer Advocate

Want to support a child during their journey through foster care? Our CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers provide consistency and stability for a child during a very difficult time in their lives.

CASAs are court-appointed, trained and committed adult volunteers who ensure that each child’s individual needs remain a priority in an overburdened child welfare system.

• CASA volunteers get to know the child while also gathering information from the child’s family, teachers, doctors and therapists, care givers and anyone else involved in the childs life.
• A CASA provides an important voice for a child in and outside of court.
• A CASA volunteer provides a consistent presence in a child’s life during their time in foster care.
• CASA advocates for family permanency for the child through reunification with family or adoption.  
• CASA volunteers help to reestablish healthy family connections and advocate for reunification with family.  
• Ultimately, the role of a CASA volunteer is to advocate for the best interest of the children.
