Volunteer Manager – Nonprofit Organization

Are you a skilled organizer with a passion for empowering volunteers to create meaningful change? Join our nonprofit organization as a Volunteer Manager! In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in recruiting, training, and supporting the volunteers who drive our mission forward.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain a diverse and engaged volunteer base.
• Coordinate onboarding and training sessions to prepare volunteers for their roles effectively.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing questions, concerns, and feedback.
• Schedule and assign volunteers to programs and events, ensuring appropriate coverage.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment to enhance volunteer satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and hours.
• Collaborate with program leaders to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
• Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions through events, awards, or other initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in volunteer coordination, human resources, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse individuals.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and basic administrative tasks.
• Passion for community service and alignment with our mission.

Time Commitment:

Approximately 5-8 hours per month, with flexibility based on program needs and events.
