Legal Clinic for the Disabled

For over 35 years, LCD has provided free direct legal services to individuals living with a disability or chronic illness and the deaf and hard or hearing in the Philadelphia region. LCD is headquartered in Center City. We work directly with medical partners at multiple sites across the city through our Medical-Legal Partnership Initiative, and we actively participate in the Philadelphia Eviction Prevention Project through our Housing & Habitability Initiative. We also conduct general telephone intake, host Community Legal Outreach Clinics, and provide various outreach and training events. Focused on addressing health-harming legal needs, our practice areas include family, housing, planning documents, public benefits, and social security law. Last year alone, LCD served over 1,900 clients, furthering our mission to foster inclusion, independence, and justice for all.
