    OUR MISSION

For 40 years, Martha’s Table has worked to support strong children, strong families, and strong communities by increasing access to quality education programs, healthy food, and family supports. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity for their brightest future and a deeply engaged family and community committed to their success.

In 2018, Martha’s Table expanded to two new locations: The Commons at Stanton Square (The Commons) and The Maycroft. Through the collaborative efforts of the Horning Family FundHorning BrothersCommunity of Hope, and Martha’s Table, we opened The Commons, a newly-constructed, 43,000-squarefoot facility located in the Fort Stanton/Hillsdale area of D.C.’s Ward 8. The Commons serves as our new headquarters and hub for programs and community supports. Meanwhile, we will house additional early childhood education programs and food supports at our satellite location in D.C.’s Ward 1, in partnership with Jubilee Housing at the historic Maycroft building in Columbia Heights.

    OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM

Our nationally accredited early childhood education program offers full day education to children from 6 weeks to 3 years of age, as well as out-of-school time programming for pre-kindergarten and elementary-aged students. These programs lay the framework for school readiness and help students develop skills to ensure academic and life success. Our educators employ an intentional practice, which incorporates the most up to date, best in class research on how children learn and develop.

Martha’s Table education program has an open, non-discriminatory enrollment policy with no application fee. For information about enrollment in our early childhood education or out-of-school time program, please call 202-808-8029 or click here.

    HEALTHY EATING

Martha’s Table believes that access to fresh, healthy food is essential for supporting strong children, families, and community. Our Healthy Eating initiatives work to ensure healthy food for those in need and support children and their families to make healthy choices.

    COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES

In addition to our integrated program, Martha’s Table runs emergency relief programs that meet the basic, fundamental needs of our neighbors in crisis. Programs Include: McKenna’s Wagon, our daily mobile food truck; our 7 day a week emergency lobby market; our 4 pm daily meal service; and clothing services through Martha’s Outfitters and the Martha’s Outlet program.
