Legacy Hospice, Inc.

Legacy Hospice is looking for volunteers in the Mississippi, Crittenden and Poinsett Counties in Arkansas. Volunteers may serve by helping administratively in our office, or by visiting patients directly and providing companionship.

Volunteers may spend time with patients listening to music, reading aloud, doing crafts, conversing, singing, praying, and more. Volunteers are rewarded with the appreciation of the patient; Volunteers may serve as often or as little as they are able to.

Volunteers will complete a

short application,

a TB skin test,

routine physical.

Legacy Hospice will also perform a background check and reference check on the candidate. Volunteers must be 17+.

Prior to meeting patients, volunteers will complete a training course with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure that the volunteer is comfortable with their responsibilities and prepared to have direct contact with patients and their families.
