Health & Help is a female-led volunteer organization delivering basic medical care to people in detached rural communities.
In our clinics we provide basic medical care: consultations (pediatrics, therapy, gynecology), issue medicines, conduct outpatient surgeries (under local anesthesia), and obstetric manipulations (management of pregnancy and childbirth), conduct educational programs on malnutrition, contraception, type 1 diabetes and pregnancy management, we also conduct preventive and educational lectures on hygiene and the basics of proper nutrition.
🌽In Guatemala the clinic is located in the mountains of Totonikapan region (Momostenango, the village of Chuinajtajuyub), providing medical help to over 20,000 people mostly of Mayan decent.
🌴In Nicaragua the clinic is located in the village La Salvia in one of the most remote areas of Nicaragua. Approximately 5,000 people live in this place.
In order to organise a non-stop functioning of our clinics we are looking for medical and non-medical volunteers for our team.

Health & Help es una organización sin fines de lucro, nuestro objetivo es construir clínicas en las áreas remotas de los países en desarrollo en América Latina y ofrecer ayuda médica básica de buena calidad a la población local, así como programas educativos.
Prestamos servicios médicos básicos: realizamos consultas (pediatría, terapia, ginecología), intervenciones quirúrgicas ambulatorias (con anestesia local), manipulaciones obstétricas (atendemos embarazos), repartimos medicamentos, realizamos programas para ayudar a los niños desnutridos, contracepción, diabetes tipo 1, asimismo realizamos conferencias educativas dedicadas a la higiene y a conceptos básicos de una alimentación sana.
En Guatemala, la clínica está ubicada en las montañas de la región de Totonikapan (Momostenango, el pueblo de Chuinajtajuyub), que presta asistencia médica a más de 20,000 personas en su mayoría de origen decente maya.
En Nicaragua, la construcción de la clínica se completó en Enero del 2020 y está ubicada en la comunidad de La Salvia en el Golfo de Fonseca, donde aproximadamente unas 5,000 personas viven en esta región.
