Purses For A Purpose, Inc

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit registered out of California.

Lending a helping hand(bag) is what we do. Our mission at Purses For A Purpose, Inc. is to remind all women of their value in society, regardless of their socio-economic status.

We collect donated handbags, purses, and backpacks to fill with travel-sized toiletry items and distribute the filled handbags to homelessness and domestic violence shelters, women’s centers, and refugee aid organizations. We have chapters in Los Angeles, California; San Diego, California; and Washington D.C.

We are looking for purse packers and donations to continue spreading our mission and changing how we see homeless women within our community, one lending hand(bag) at a time. Donors are able to repurpose their unused bags and reflect on the importance of the luxuries of their everyday lives: deodorant, hand sanitizer, tampons, toothpaste, the list is never-ending.
