At Shared With Care, we believe that access to quality education is a fundamental right, not a privilege.
In 2023-2024, we fundraised for two months during the holiday season into January at the Stanley & Bernal Starbucks, resulting in the donation of over 120 school supplies, including stationery, binders, novels, children's books, and more. These supplies were distributed in the Philippines by the Black Pencil Project and reached the Aeta children in Sitio Lawin, Barangay Labney, Mayantoc.
Through our partnership with Mayantoc Youth For Peace and collaboration with the Alpha "Avenger" Company of the 71st Infantry Battalion-Philippine Army, these essential school supplies were delivered to remote locations in Mayantoc, Tarlac. The supplies play a crucial role in supporting remedial classes for indigenous Aeta children, ensuring they have the tools needed to learn and grow.
We also collaborated with Shanti Bhavan’s Children’s Project, hosting fundraising events to support their mission of providing quality education to underprivileged children. Additionally, we partnered with local Kumon locations, raising $3,500 worth of school supplies that were sent to Develop Africa, an organization dedicated to equipping African children with resources to pursue their educational goals.
Our volunteers are the heart of Shared With Care. With over 50 dedicated individuals, we have created educational posters and E-Cards to support our initiatives. During the 2024 holiday season, our team developed holiday-themed worksheets that were distributed throughout North America, sparking creativity and learning among children in various communities.
In celebration of our community, Shared With Care participated in the 2023 Amador Valley Centennial Parade in Downtown Pleasanton. Flyers promoting our organization were distributed at the Museum on Main, a cultural focal point preserving the history and heritage of the Pleasanton and Tri-Valley region.
Since our inception, Shared With Care has made an impact in 12 countries, reflecting our commitment to global educational equity and our belief that no child’s future should be limited by a lack of resources.
