DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative

The DC Collaborative, in partnership with our members, advances equitable access to learning opportunities in the arts and humanities for all. DC Collaborative envisions the arts and humanities as a right for all students in the District’s public education system. The Collaborative understands the perspectives of our diverse community: local arts and humanities professionals, public school students, educators, and teaching artists. DC Collaborative centers equity and access by working to mitigate barriers for these community groups; offering resources and capacity building support that would otherwise not be possible. 

The Collaborative engages our community through education programs support, professional development workshops, and collective impact efforts; ultimately equipping professionals with the network, resources, and knowledge necessary to effectively engage local students. In serving students, their teachers, and professionals who provide programs, DC Collaborative takes a holistic approach that has historically been incredibly effective. The Collaborative’s collected data influences our programs and strategy, and holds us accountable to ensure that we are making necessary improvements in our approach.
