United Way of Central Ohio Founded in 1923, United Way of Central Ohio strengthens families and ensures all children have the resources they need to be on a pathway to success by the time they leave third grade. We do that by serving as the backbone organization for Success by Third Grade. Using a proven collective impact model, Success by Third Grade brings together individuals, nonprofits, corporations, school districts and governments to tackle nonacademic barriers that impact reading proficiency.
