Who we are looking for:

ASCO is seeking a Business Development Intern to help shape the future of EveryGrant – a comprehensive grant management service that supports organizations in designing and managing innovative funding programs.

Internship activities include:

• Assist team’s effort in EveryGrant’s Business Development/Expansion, process improvement, and multilayer growth endeavors
• Research and identify potential customers and partnership opportunities
• Develop lead generation strategies and support outreach efforts
• Analyze market treads and competitive landscape
• Assist in creating digital marketing and engagement tools
• Improve post-presentation follow-up processes to drive business growth
• Collaborate with internal teams on strategic initiatives

Required qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate BA/BS degree program, or graduate program, or recently graduated from a 4-year degree program. Candidates must be at least a junior or entering their junior year of college at the start of the internship.
• Enrolled in a degree program in Business, Marketing, Finance, Business/Administration, or Communications
• Experience with Digital Media, Promotional Marketing (in a professional, scientific environment)
• Entrepreneur mind-set, self-starter (capable of remaining productive in a remote working environment)
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (365 preferred) and CRM (customer relationship management) process
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with flexibility to adapt to changing needs
• Solid organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
• Excellent telephone etiquette, customer service skills and professionalism
• Willingness to enhance skills

Duration: 10 weeks during the summer – June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025. This internship is 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation: This summer internship position is paid at a rate of $20/hour for actual hours worked. Additionally, ASCO will provide parking or a metro subsidy.

Location: This internship is based in Alexandria, VA and will require working onsite the majority of the time with some offsite work flexibility. Candidates should reside in the D.C. metro area or be able to relocate at their own expense. If you are not able to work at ASCO Headquarters, please do not apply.
