    The Brave Movement, launched in 2022 by Together for Girls and global partners, is a survivor-led global advocacy movement dedicated to ending childhood sexual violence. Together for Girls operates in over 20 countries, combining advanced data and powerful advocacy to combat violence against children and adolescents, especially sexual violence. The Brave Movement supports survivors and allies to undertake advocacy and campaigns to secure bold and transformative action from global leaders to end childhood sexual violence.

    Position Overview:

    The Campaign Manager will inform, advise, and coordinate the Brave Movements’ global campaign initiatives. Working closely with Brave movement members, they will develop survivor-centered advocacy, campaigns, and activations. They will also work closely with partners and allies to center survivor expertise and experience in the development and implementation of broader campaign and advocacy work being undertaken beyond the Brave Movement. Additionally, this role will coordinate and support the reporting of campaign grants. Success in this role will involve amplifying survivor voices, supporting survivors’ well being in their campaign work, and developing innovative campaign strategies to influence stakeholders at a local, national, regional and international level.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    Campaign development and delivery (40%)

    • Support the development of Brave campaign strategies, informed by survivor leaders, partners and allies
    • Coordinate and manage the delivery of Brave campaigns and activations around the world, including a focus on the current global campaign on online safety
    • Build and maintain key campaign relationships, including both survivor activists and leaders, and allies and partners
    • Support and advise survivor leaders in undertaking campaign and advocacy work, including coordinating the mental health and well being support that is provided by the movement for the individual(s)
    • Lead on key campaign events and moments, developing plans and implementation and delivery on the ground
    • Work closely and collaboratively with the communications team to develop strategic communications plans and assets for campaigns

    Project management (15%)

    • Support proposal development and reporting to ensure future funding for campaign and movement initiatives
    • Manage the implementation of grant deliverables and reporting with the team to ensure overall alignment of strategies both globally and regionally
    • Work with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework to track campaign progress

    Communications (10%)

    • Development of ideas and support on delivery of survivor-centred, campaign focused, communication content and assets in partnership with the communications team and agencies
    • Support in speech writing for events and conferences
    • Review and edit communications materials written on campaigns

    Internal coordination (15%)

    • Participate in team and organization-wide meetings, using these spaces to disseminate knowledge, share learning moments, and celebrate successes.
    • Work closely with the movement-building team to ensure campaign needs and opportunities are communicated throughout the membership and network

    • Manage consultants, junior staff and project budget as required
    • Other duties, as assigned by your supervisor

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    • 4+ years of experience leading, or coordinating, international, regional or national campaigns in a non-profit, UN agency or social good organization.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the child rights sector
    • Knowledge of the current Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) policy and political context
    • Significant experience of working with international coalitions or movements
    • Strong project management skills and the ability to work virtually in a complex, fast-paced environment.
    • Cultural competency and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Strong communications skills including being able to write content for press releases, policy briefings, social media content and more
    • High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to build strong, empathetic relationships and be trauma-informed.

    • Direct experience working with survivors of sexual violence in a trauma-informed way, desired.
    • Experience working in the EU and/or in US policy, desired.
    • Additional languages, especially French or Spanish, are desired.

    Location & Ways of Working:

    This full-time position can be based in the United States, United Kingdom, or Kenya. Candidates based in other countries are welcome to apply, though employment will be contingent on the organization's ability to facilitate a hire in your location. Applicants should have work authorization for their preferred location.

    Together for Girls is a fully remote organization. All team members are expected to be available during the organization’s priority scheduling hours of 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. The other four hours that the team member chooses to work are flexible and may be coordinated with their supervisor.

    This position might also require travel up to 10% of the time.

    Compensation:

    This role offers a competitive salary adjusted to the cost of labor in the city where the candidate resides. Final salary within this location adjusted range will also be determined by the candidate’s qualifications and years and type of experience.

    For example, the annual salary for the position for a candidate based in:

    • Washington, DC will be $72,000 - $84,000
    • London, UK will be £57,900 - £65,700
    • Nairobi, Kenya will be Ksh5,053,500 - Ksh5,916,200
