    This job description is a broad outline of the responsibilities and duties of the Coordinator of Advocacy Services and will be amended, as needed, to meet the program priorities of Women Aware, Inc., (the “Agency”) and its ensuing work requirements. It should not be construed as a contract and does not create a contract of employment. Employment with the Agency is at will.

    Reports to: Director of the Family Justice Center (DFJC)

    Status: Exempt

    Qualifications:

    • Full Time, M-F, evenings as needed
    • BA/BS from an accredited college of university
    • 5 years in the field of domestic violence
    • Driver’s license: clean and valid
    • Lifting up to 25lbs

    General Responsibilities:

    At the direction of and in collaboration with the DFJC, the Coordinator of Advocacy Services carries the responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations and client service aspects of the Legal Advocacy and Family Justice Center’s intake programs. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and mission-centered environment.
    • Work collaboratively with staff and community agencies to facilitate the delivery of services.
    • Ensure service provision in accordance with accepted standards of care, ethics of the profession and the agency’s confidentiality policy.

    Specific Duties:

    • Provide direct supervision and support of the Legal Advocacy Advocates and the Intake Specialist. This includes weekly supervision, quality assurance, and support of High-Risk cases.
    • Provide direct service to high lethality cases and oversight of service delivery. Ensure the program operates in accordance to best practices standards.
    • Provide onboarding and continued training of new staff.
    • Responsible for data collection, monthly reports, and targeted program goals and LOS. Maintain and submit all program reports.
    • Represent Women Aware at DV Working Group, Prosecutor’s quarterly meetings, NJCEDV meetings, and others as assigned.
    • Conduct quality assurance reviews regularly to ensure records are maintained according to Agency’s policies and procedures.
    • Attend and actively participate in agency-wide staff meetings, interdepartmental meetings, in-services, supervision, and agency events. Provide coverage support to the client services team.
    • Other duties as assigned
