    JDC Entwine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced engager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. JDC Entwine’s Regional Outreach Coordinator will aid and implement outreach and recruitment efforts for all Entwine programs. They will outreach to Jewish young adults, engage them through one-to-one relationships, and connect them with Entwine’s programs both locally and abroad. Additionally, the Regional Outreach Coordinator will own the planning, executing, and staffing of outreach efforts at conferences, regional community events, and other creative outlets.

    What will you do as a Regional Outreach Coordinator?

    • Develop and implement targeted recruitment initiatives and outreach campaigns, in coordination with the Outreach and Marketing Teams, to meet or exceed applicant and participant goals across multiple programs (e.g., KAHAL, Insider Trips, Jewish Service Corps, Ralph I. Goldman Fellowship)
    • Expand Entwine's network and recruitment pipeline by:

    Participating in conferences, partnered events, and local community gatherings

    Researching, planning, and facilitating events in your region

    Attending at least two community events per month targeted towards potential Entwine participants

    Engaging in at least five coffee chats per week with prospective participants

    • Cultivate relationships through storytelling and authentic relationships:

    Apply established techniques to engage with potential participants aged 18-39 from diverse Jewish backgrounds and global locations

    Conduct one-on-one follow-up and correspondence with prospective community members

    • Work closely with the Alumni Engagement team to implement seamless transition processes from recruitment to long-term community involvement
    • Build greater awareness of JDC and overseas Jewish needs by cultivating partnerships with local and national organizations to enhance recruitment efforts for Entwine's diverse range of programs
    • Represent Entwine at major partner gatherings, public forums, and community events by:

    Hosting interactive information tables with engaging displays

    Distributing targeted marketing materials

    Scheduling and conducting one-on-one meetings with potential participants and partners

    Delivering presentations or speaking on panels as needed

    Engaging with new audiences to expand Entwine's reach across diverse communities

    • Coordinate with Entwine's Salesforce Administrator to ensure accurate data capture on all users who come into contact with Entwine regarding recruitment and inquiries
    • Maintain an excellent knowledge of JDC’s overseas programs
    • Travel at least 10 times per year nationally to conferences, universities, regional community events, Entwine events, etc. to recruit for JDC Entwine programs, and 2-3 times per year to staff International Insider Trips. Some travel may require renting and driving a car.
    • Record all interactions with prospective participants in Salesforce and manage inquiry responses for your region
    • Help manage the JDC Entwine email inbox to ensure prospective participants and current community members are informed and have positive interactions with the team
    • One of Entwine’s core values is staff growth and development. Entwine has created competencies for each role. We expect that employees at the Coordinator level will master these competencies within 2-3 years
    • Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time

    What qualifications are required to be our Regional Outreach Coordinator?

    • Prior professional experience in community organizing, recruitment, networking, program and event planning, or other relevant field(s) involving identifying and cultivating relationships
    • Track record of successful community engagement and/or recruitment; readiness to step into an intermediate-level role
    • Strong computer skills including expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Intermediate or higher experience using CRMs (such as Salesforce or Raiser’s Edge) and/or applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, iSIMS, etc.)
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at once; project management skills, including organization, prioritization, detail-orientation, proactivity, adaptability, and follow-through (no specific project management methodologies or certifications required)
    • Engaging and creative storytelling and facilitation skills; able to foster relationships between people from diverse backgrounds
    • Excellent relationship-building skills; ability to rapidly build authentic and genuine relationships
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to passionately convey JDC’s accomplishments and the importance of global Jewish service and leadership
    • Ability to develop creative educational concepts, with an interest in using multimedia
    • Both team-orientation and self-motivated; ability to work with minimal instruction and to creatively problem solve on one’s own when needed
    • Ability to inspire and motivate young Jews to become leaders in their communities
    • Experience working with and ability to flourish in distributed teams and remote environments; Ability to work from the NYC office on Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • Driving requirements: Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past three years; No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past five years
    • Ability to move or traverse for extended periods of time while traveling
    • Ability to read words and numbers and communicate in person or over the telephone
    • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment

    Additional Preferred Skills and Competencies:

    • Background in project management
    • Prior experience planning event, conference, or learning experiences
    • Passion for humanitarian work and/or global Jewish service strongly preferred

    Additional Details

    • Employment Type: Full-time
    • Hours: 35 hours/week, 8:45 AM – 4:45PM with a 1-hour lunch break
    • Location: Hybrid from New York, NY, in office Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • Reports to: National Outreach Manager
    • Job Function/Department: Entwine
    • Other: Travel is required both nationally and internationally 12-13 times a year; while advanced notice will usually be provided, flexibility to travel on little notice will occasionally be required. Driving is also required.

    What are the compensation and benefits for a Regional Outreach Coordinator?

    This is a full-time position paid semi-monthly at a salary of $60,000-$70,000 per year; in determining where a candidate falls in that range JDC considers several factors, including skills and experience, internal equity, and cost of living in location of work. This role is non-exempt per the FLSA.

    We offer an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to:
