    Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Job Developer with a minimum of 2- 3 years of expertise in job development and employer engagement, particularly in working with youth (ages 18-26 years old.) The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing high-quality, paid work experience opportunities focused on the healthcare sector for program participants. This role involves building strong relationships with employers, ensuring job placements align with clients' skills and career aspirations, and fostering long-term career success for youth in the healthcare industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Job Development and Placement: Identify, develop, and secure high-quality, paid work experience positions for youth participants within the healthcare sector. Ensure job placements align with clients' skills, career aspirations, and long-term employment goals.
    • Employer Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with healthcare employers, including hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers, to secure job opportunities for participants. Serve as the main point of contact for employers, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the placement process.
    • Client Assessment and Career Matching: Work closely with youth participants to assess their skills, experience, and career interests. Match participants to appropriate job opportunities that will offer growth potential and valuable work experience in the healthcare field. Career preparation and arranging trainings for career development.
    • Job Coaching and Support: Provide job readiness coaching and ongoing support to youth participants before, during, and after placement. Offer guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and workplace expectations to ensure a smooth transition to employment.
    • Partnership Building: Develop partnerships with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and other relevant community resources to create sustainable employment pipelines for youth in healthcare-related careers.
    • Follow-Up and Retention: Ensure long-term success by providing post-placement support to both the participant and employer. Conduct regular check-ins to monitor job retention, address challenges, and ensure satisfaction from both sides.
    • Workforce Development: Stay informed on trends in the healthcare job market and work with employers to understand their staffing needs. Provide valuable insights to participants to help them navigate career paths within healthcare.
    • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on job placements, employer engagement activities, and participant progress. Prepare regular reports on placement outcomes, job retention, and client satisfaction.
    • Advocacy and Representation: Act as an advocate for youth participants, ensuring their unique needs and challenges are understood and addressed by employers. Promote the benefits of hiring youth and emphasize their potential contributions to the healthcare sector. Arranging, job fairs and other related events for clients.
