POSITION SUMMARY: BDF is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Women4Change Project Officer. This role focuses on empowering women at the individual and community levels, with a special emphasis on vulnerable groups such as migrants, ethnic minorities, and indigenous women living in construction site camps and urban slums in Chiang Mai. The Project Officer will work closely with the supervision of Women Empowerment Program (WEP) Manager to implement activities that support the empowerment of women and help achieve the program’s goals.
The Women4Change Project Officer will play a pivotal role in implementing key project activities, such as identifying and training vulnerable women, facilitating women’s group dynamics, and supporting women leaders to drive sustainable change within their communities. The Women4Change Project Officer will also be responsible for organizing training for targeted beneficiaries and community representatives, ensuring the effective delivery of prepared knowledge content. Additionally, the officer will provide ongoing technical support to trained women community leaders, guiding them in applying their skills to lead their communities and share knowledge widely. By empowering women leaders to pass on the knowledge they have been equipped. This position requires strong organizational abilities, a dedication to gender equality, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Based in Chiang Mai, the officer will be instrumental in achieving the project’s goal of empowering women with the knowledge, resources, and community support needed to overcome challenges and thrive.
The Employee will be under the direct supervision of the BDF’s Women Empowerment Program Manager. The Director of Programs and WEP Managers, are entitled to reformulate the job description as needed for the sound management of the whole organization. The Employee will provide weekly updates for his/her supervisor’s review.
The Employee will collaborate with all Directors and Managers, in addition to the Finance, Partnerships and Programs teams based in Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

Language Skills: fluent in Thai (Main Language: Fluent in listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and can communicate in English.(To be considered as an asset when having communication skills in Burmese or Tai Yai Languages.)
