    All God's Children International is actively seeking a dedicated individual to serve as our Program Grant Specialist. Under the direction of the Director of Measurement & Evaluation, the Program Grant Specialist will become an expert in understanding our organization's programs and translating that knowledge to secure public and private funding opportunities. This includes prospecting, proposal writing, grants management, and reporting. The Program Grant Specialist is responsible for conducting the full range of pre-award and post-award activities required to research, prepare, submit, and comply with grant proposals to federal, state/local, and private foundations. This role will collaborate with program managers and other key stakeholders to gather in-depth information and effectively communicate our mission, programs, and impact to potential funders.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Program Comprehension & Grant Management:

    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of AGCI's global programs, services, and initiatives.
    • Engage with program directors and global staff to gain detailed insights into program goals, outcomes, and impact.
    • Research and identify potential funding sources that align with AGCI global programs, including foundations, corporations, government grants, and private family foundations.
    • Gather and analyze data related to program performance, outcomes, and impact to strengthen grant proposals with evidence-based narratives and statistics.
    • Maintain and build relationships with key funders and stakeholders, including program officers and family foundation representatives.
    • Collaborate with AGCI program staff and leadership team to align funding opportunities with program needs, details, impact statistics, and budgets.
    • Track and manage the grant application and grant reporting processes, ensuring timely submission and compliance with all requirements.
    • Stay updated on trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising within the international relief and development sector.
    • Maintain AGCI’s grants calendar and grants management tracking system.
    • Create and manage proposal timelines and evaluation of funding opportunities including grant overview documents for review by AGCI’s leadership team, proposal work plans and scheduling meetings to ensure appropriate input from all key stakeholders
    • Write and submit letters of inquiry, concept papers and grant proposals to foundations, corporations, government grants, and private family foundations.

    Administrative:

    • Manage a library of supporting documents in readiness to submit to prospective funders in the grant writing process.
    • Assist in translating AGCI formatted budgets to donor templates as requested.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic contract and grant files for each funding opportunity.

    General:

    • Participate in international team meetings, staff meetings, and various training opportunities under the direction of the Director of Measurement & Evaluation.
    • May travel occasionally both internationally and domestically as directed by the Director of Measurement & Evaluation.
    • Demonstrates ability to work in remote work environment.
    • Displays excellent communication skills including writing, presentation, and listening abilities; displays excellent ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
    • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; has the ability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
    • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation and remains open to all levels of work and support for the organization.
    • Other duties, as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-5 years of experience in program administration, grant writing or research, preferably in the non-profit sector. Demonstrated success in securing grants from foundations, corporations, or government sources. Strong understanding of programs and services required. Excellent written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills are a must. Familiarity with private family foundations is a plus. On-the-job training, including training in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®), will be made available based on the needs and experience of the individual.

    WORKING SKILLS

    A track record of developing and implementing processes that advance learning and improvements across an organization or team; Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, survey, and assessment design; Demonstrated capacity of translating ideas into action.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence, reports, and inquiries. Ability to write error-free business correspondence, reports, and presentation materials. Ability to effectively distill and explain complex concepts, present information, and respond to questions from supervisors, donors/sponsors, clients, vendors, organization partners, and the general public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Calculates currency conversion, discounts, and interest, when needed.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    Job requires advanced basic computer skills including logging on to systems, word processing, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, presentation creation/editing, database, use of the internet, and communication by e-mail. Requires knowledge of, and use of, Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook and Teams. Ability to learn Donor Database and Case Management Software.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to work with and protect extremely confidential files and information and have the appropriate discernment regarding handling issues of varying complexity and sensitivity. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and can deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Has the discretion to weigh the levity of an issue and pass it along to the appropriate party/leader within the organization, as needed.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to supply appropriate documentation/identification to travel authorities when traveling domestically and internationally.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, the ability to distinguish colors, peripheral vision, depth and perception, and the ability to adjust focus, especially with frequent computer use. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate; noise levels in travel to various countries could range from quiet to extremely loud, depending on the varying conditions.

    TELEWORK ELIGIBILITY

    This position is telework-eligible. AGCI may offer telecommuting and remote work to some employees when it would benefit the organization and the employee. AGCI employees approved for teleworking will be responsible for demonstrating a high standard of work ethic and maintaining the expected quantity and quality of work set forth by their manager. AGCI’s Telecommuting and Remote Work Policy will guide standards and specific eligibility requirements for telework.

    This position requires the successful completion of an extensive criminal background check. All candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

    COMPENSATION

    $55,000 - $67,000/year depending on experience.
